After going through a TurningPoint presentation PowerPoint will freeze when you escape back to edit mode.
The PowerPoint auto recovery save status bar will be displayed and locked in position until the user force quits PowerPoint.
This freeze is caused by polling a slide, but receiving no responses. PowerPoint must also be in Show-Mode longer then the time set in the PowerPoint options for the auto recover save.
PowerPoint gets stuck in a loop because the chart is still listed as being on the slide, but the chart was never generated because the slide was never polled.
You can disable the Auto Save in PowerPoint by doing the following:
Click the Office button located on the top left of the PowerPoint application.
Click the PowerPoint Options button located at the bottom of this popup menu.
Click Save on the left and uncheck the "Save AutoRecover Information every:" option.
Close out of the options.
This will resolve this issue.
